A folding fan built around a reversible motor
EXTRASTAR sells the IT-OMFSD-2003 as a 106 cm ceiling fan whose blades fold flat against the housing when not in use, so the fixture reads as a plain LED ceiling light until the blades are deployed. The feature EXTRASTAR leads with in its own copy is a reversible DC motor: a switch in the direction of rotation is stated to push air down for a cooling breeze in summer and to redistribute warm air that has risen toward the ceiling in winter. The LED ring offers three colour temperatures — 3000K, 4200K and 6500K in EXTRASTAR’s own figures — dimmed and switched entirely from the included remote, alongside six fan speeds and a 2-hour or 4-hour auto-shutoff timer. EXTRASTAR’s listing also states the remote’s receiver is built into the light unit itself, so installation doesn’t require a separate control box wired in above the ceiling — a detail worth checking against the wiring in an existing fixture before buying, since not every ceiling light installation has room for an integrated receiver.
