Why does the coupler matter?

It is the threaded collar that joins hose to machine, and it is the part most often lost or broken. Two hoses on the exhaust hose shelf of this site state in capitals that no coupler is included. This kit supplies one, with the filter already in it.

What is a brush seal strip?

A dense woven brush that fills the gap between the sliding window and the plate. Tape seals once and peels; a brush closes a moving joint. Three kits on this shelf seal differently — plates alone, tape, or a drawstring in fabric — and this is the only brush.

Will it fit my hose?

It brings its own: 5.9 inches, anti-clockwise. If your machine takes 5 inches or a clockwise thread, this kit’s hose will not fit it and the plates alone would be the purchase.
