HOOMEE rates the seal for windows up to a 400 cm (157 in) perimeter, and states it works on left- or right-opening casement windows, bottom-hung windows and skylights — a broader stated range of window styles than a kit built for one type. The fitting method is the same across all of them: adhesive hook tape on the inside of the frame and on the window, holding the fabric panel in place.

A zip around the hose

Rather than a taped slit or an open gap, the exhaust hose passes through a zip closure that HOOMEE states seals tightly around it. That’s the detail that decides how much warm air leaks back in around the hose itself, once the window perimeter is otherwise sealed.

HOOMEE’s own listing markets this as fitting “all portable air conditioners and tumble dryers,” not a tested list of brands or models. That’s an honest way to read it: none of the four portable air conditioners reviewed on this site are named as compatible, and no hose-diameter figure is published to check against.
