The most plausible pair of numbers on the shelf

A liter a day for 270 square feet. Set against the two other figures here — the same liter for up to 950 square feet, and three-quarters of a liter for 200 — this is the one that neither overclaims nor undersells.

For a buyer, that consistency is the most useful signal on a shelf where the coverage claims and the extraction figures otherwise refuse to line up.

The filter claim, exactly as written

Featuring a high-efficiency True HEPA filter, this unit captures up to 98% of fine PM2.5 particles.

True HEPA has a definition: 99.97 per cent at 0.3 microns. Ninety-eight per cent of PM2.5 is a different and lesser claim.

This page reports both halves of the sentence because the maker published both.

The questions that keep coming up

Is the filter True HEPA or not?

The listing says both things. True HEPA is 99.97 per cent at 0.3 microns; this bullet claims True HEPA and then "up to 98% of fine PM2.5". Ninety-eight per cent is a good filter and it is not the standard the name invokes. The Tenergy on this shelf publishes 99.97 per cent.

How big a tank?

Not stated. At a liter a day, tank size decides how often you empty it — and two units on this shelf publish theirs at one liter and 95 ounces. The drain hose makes the question moot if you can use it.

Liter a day, 270 square feet — does that add up?

It is the most internally consistent pair on this shelf. The PTHRAOUTA here removes the same liter and claims up to 950 square feet; the Tenergy removes three-quarters as much and claims 200. This one sits in the middle and reads plausibly.
