The maker’s own remote, not a universal one

Unlike the two air conditioner remotes in this hub, which are third-party universal products built around a brand code list, the 78095 is made and branded by Westinghouse itself. Westinghouse states it fits most of its own ceiling fans, with any exceptions listed in that specific fan’s own technical data — a narrower but more confidently stated compatibility claim than a universal remote’s “should work with most brands” wording.

Two controls in one remote

The 78095 handles both jobs a ceiling fan with an integrated light needs: three fan speeds plus off on one set of buttons, and a separate light on/off button with a dimmer. Westinghouse’s own listing flags one caveat worth knowing before buying replacement bulbs — non-Westinghouse LED bulbs can be incompatible with the dimmer circuit, and the company recommends its own LED bulbs to avoid the issue.

Where it doesn’t reach

Brand lock is the trade-off for that confidently stated fit. None of the four ceiling fans reviewed on this site — the Briloner 3963016, MiKoMiKa F8808, EXTRASTAR IT-OMFSD-2003, or ROTTOGOON CF1501 — are made by Westinghouse, so this remote is not an option for any of them. It belongs in this hub as the genuine article for Westinghouse owners, not as a fit for the fans reviewed elsewhere on the site.
