Ten dollars, and one thing missing

No amperage. On a shelf where six plugs publish fifteen amps and eighteen hundred watts, this one and the Amazon plug publish nothing.

For a lamp it does not matter. For a space heater it is the only number that does, and the shelf has cheaper-per-socket options that give it.

The honest footnote

To use Alexa and Google Home, please note that this product cannot be connected directly. You need to connect the product to the network and the GHome APP first.

That is the reality of almost every plug on this shelf, and this is one of the few listings that states it before you buy rather than after.

The questions that keep coming up

Can it take a heater?

There is no published rating, so this page will not say yes. Six plugs on this shelf publish 15 A and 1,800 W, and that is what a 1,500 W heater needs. For lamps and small appliances this plug is fine; for anything that heats, buy one that states its limit.

Why does a Matter GHome plug share its model number?

Both read WP3 on this shelf, at 9.99 and 31.99 dollars, with different barcodes. The dearer one is Matter, publishes 15 A and lists Apple Home. The model reference will not distinguish them when ordering.

What is a random schedule for?

Varying the on and off times so a house looks occupied. It is the one automation feature a basic plug can offer that a wall timer cannot do convincingly, and only the two GHome plugs on this shelf publish it.
